ELTHAM provides a stimulating academic environment, teaching the Victorian curriculum alongside innovative programs and co-curricular opportunities.

Rather than a traditional pre-determined campus tour, we encourage prospective families to plan their own Open Day experience and explore different areas of our campus. You can:

• Join specific presentations in our Clarke Auditorium and Senior School Library
• Meet our inspiring and expert educators who will be available to talk to you throughout our Junior and Senior School
• Walk and talk with our students as they help you find your way around campus
• Speak to one or more of our current parents at our event hub in our Forum area
• Get to know our Executive team and chat about our admissions process in our dedicated family drop in space

Open Day is the place to have a taste of an ELTHAM College education, and understand why generations of families, since our founding in 1974 have sent their children to ELTHAM.

Open Day Overview

The Open Day will begin at 4.00pm with our campus open for your exploration. Across the campus we will be hosting a number of activities and presentations, so that you get to know us and what makes an ELTHAM education the best choice for your child or children.

Senior School

In our Senior School you can meet our inspiring Heads of Faculty, teaching teams, student support staff, and co-curricular program leaders.

Whilst you make your way around campus, our remarkable facilities will open for viewing, including the Harold Mitchell Performing Arts Centre, Analytical Chemistry Hub, Observatory, Visual Arts Building and Multi-Media Lab, Aquatic Centre, Purpose-Built Gymnasium, and Sports Stadium.

5.00pm – 5.20pm: Student Wellbeing at ELTHAM

5.40pm – 6.00pm: Transition to Senior School – Year 7, a milestone year

6.10pm – 6.30pm: Meet our Principal and Director of Senior School

Clarke Auditorium (Harold Mitchell Performing Arts Centre)

4.30pm – 4.50pm: Meet our Principal and Director of Junior School

5.30pm – 5.50pm: Authentically ELTHAM: Our Values, Our Vision, Our Community

6.00pm – 6.20pm: Student Wellbeing at ELTHAM

In our family drop in space which is located to the right of our reception entrance, and in our Year 7/8 community area, you can:

• Speak to the College Executive
• Learn more about our admissions process
• Meet our student services and wellbeing team
• Meet our partner Ed Start and hear about how they can help you with convenient scheduling of fee payments

In our central event hub, which is located in our Forum space, you can:

• Register your attendance at Open Day and receive your show bag
• Talk to our wonderful parent groups
• Grab a coffee or tea before you start your Open Day adventure
• Get some help to navigate your way around our grounds and facilities, and ensure you see what’s important to you
• Visit our sport, health and PE team and learn about our Elite and Emerging Athletes Program

How to make the most out of the Open Day

1. Select the scheduled presentations that best suit your interests
2. Experience your own unique Open Day journey between 4.00pm – 6.30pm
3. Stay for our Twilight Market and enjoy more of our beautiful grounds, while getting a real sense of the community spirit ingrained into the fabric of ELTHAM College.
